Philip M. Klutznick, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Economic and Social Council and ex-president of B’nai B’rith, was named yesterday as national chairman of a $25,000,000 nationwide campaign for the Eleanor Roosevelt Memorial Foundation. The appointment was announced by Ambassador Adlai Stevenson, chairman of the foundation.
The drive will continue through November 7, 1964, the second anniversary of Mrs. Roosevelt’s death. The funds will go to support some of her major interests, including aid to the poor, promotion of economic welfare and public health, and furtherance of international goodwill.
