This move to call a general #trike in the entire industry fol#ows a favorable vote upon a mo#ion to walk out by union members. It has been reported that similar polls were held in Philadelphia, Cleveland, St. Louis and San Francisco.

Demands of the union call for ###ten to twenty per cent increase in wages, according to the classification of the workers, and for a #eduction in hours from thirty-seven and one-half to thirty-five hours weekly.

Whether the strike of painters, paperhangers and decorators of this city is to be settled depends upon the results of a meeting tomorrow afternoon in the office of #en Golden, executive secretary of the Regional Labor Board, when representatives of the Brotherhood of Painters, Paperhangers and Decorators District. Council No. 9, and of the Association of Master Painters and Decorators will meet to present their demands.
