A Kosher products bill similar to the one in effect in New York State was introduced in the State was introduced in the State Legislature by Harry Lyons, Jewish assemblyman from Los Angeles. Mr. Lyons is sponsoring the bill in accordance with the action of the Legislative Committee of the Kehillah of Los Angeles and in conformity with the request of the “Vaad Hakashruth” organization. This bill, known as Assembly Bill No. 12, was referred to the Legislative Committee on Quarantine and Public Health.

It is expected that the bill will be favorably reported by the Committee, and that it will pass both houses of the legislature and will finally receive the official approval of the Governor.

The bill has its strongest support in the “Vaad Hakashruth” of Los Angeles, where preparations are being made in case a public hearing is held on the bill.
