Ku Klux Klan Losing Its Hold in Indiana

The Ku Klux Klan in Indiana, heretofore considered the stronghold of the Invisible Empire, is dying. Forty thousand klansmen have ceased paying their dues and have turned in their membership cards. The Klan membership in Indiana dropped from 400,000 to between 20,000 to 40,000.

These facts were brought out in an article in “The Chicago Tribune” from Indianapolis where that paper had sent one of its expert political reporters to study the situation.
