Samuel C. Lamport, well known New York merchant and communal worker, was honored in Bucharest at a dinner at the home of Dr. William Filderman, president of the Union of Roumanian Jews. William S. Culbertson, American Minister to Roumania, and representatives of industrial, financial and political circles attended the dinner.
It was made known that Mr. Lamport was appointed by Secretary Hoover as advisory member of the American delegation to the World Economic Conference which is to be held shortly in Geneva.
Mr. Lamport is proceeding from here to Geneva to attend the Economic Conference.
