Land for an additional 300 housing units at a controversial housing project in southeastern Jerusalem was expected to be sold to developers this week. In an earlier offering by the Israel Lands Authority, developers secured plots to build 680 housing units there. Ground-breaking at Har Homa in 1997 prompted the Palestinian Authority to suspend negotiations with Israel for 19 months.
