Reorganization of Seattle’s Jewish National Fund Chapter and gift of two parcels of land owned in Palestine by Seattle men were announced today after a meeting at the Seattle Talmud Torah to hear an appeal for funds for establishment of a Jewish colony in Palestine. Max Rudensky, Jewish National Fund field secretary, made the appeal.
The land was donated by the sons of the late Sol Prottas, pioneer Orthodox leader and ardent Zionist, and by M. Aronson, former Talmud Torah president. Speakers were Rabbi Solomon P. Wohlgelenter, Philip A Langh, and Sol Esfeld, Seattle Zionist head.
