About 60 followers of the Land-Of-Israel movement were prevented from holding a prayer service today in the Temple Mount area of East Jerusalem between the Mosque of Omar and the El Aksa Mosque. Police, informed in advance of the group’s plans, locked the Mughrabi Gate which gives the only access to the area. No arrests were made Jews are forbidden to hold religious services on the site which Moslems consider sacred.
