Abram I. Elkus, honorary chairman of the New York Wider Scope Committee of the Independent Order B’nai Brith, yesterday announced the appointment of a committee of sponsors for a dinner which will be given on April 15, at the Hotel Astor. The dinner will be given for the Hillel Foundation of the I.O.B.B.
Dr. Edward Chauncey Baldwin, Professor of English Literature at the University of Illinois, will be one of the principal speakers of the Hillel night, which will be observed at the dinner. Alfred M. Cohen, president of the order, Rabbi Nathan Krass of Temple Emanu-el, and Maurice P. Davdson, chairman of the New York Wider Scope Committee will be the other speakers.
