Large numbers of Polish Jews who were deprived of their Polish citizenship by the pre-war government have applied for restoration of their rights, under the recent decree of the Polish Government-in-exile abrogating the citizenship law of 1938, it was revealed here today.
In order to facilitate the filing of such applications by Polish Jews who are now scattered throughout the world, the Lisbon headquarters of the Hias-Ica has been informed of the procedure to be followed and it has dispatched this information to its branches in Europe, North Africa, and North and South America.
