The U.N. Security Council tonight adjourned ##e session without voting on the proposed resolution for a truce in Palestine. The council, voting on a motion by Ukrainian delegate Vasily Tarassenko, decided to ##esider the matter again at a session opening tomorrow night at 9.The Soviet Unions Andrei Gromyko, backing Tarassenko, added that he had ##t yet received instructions from-his government. He asked for either a 24 or a ##-hour adjournment: American delegate Warren R. Austin opposed the adjournment ###til tomorrow, offering instead a night session tonight. In the vote on the adjournment eight states voted for it, Canada opposed and Syria and Argentina ## stained.
