The Cabinet voted 12-6 Tuesday to reject Premier Menachem Begin’s proposal that it resign following a tie vote on a no-confidence motion in the Knesset several hours earlier. According to Cabinet Secretary Arye Noor, the Cabinet majority regarded the 58-58 tie.in the Knesset to be only a “chance” vote that could not be construed as a natural coalition and would not repeat itself again.
