Ways and means of increasing immigration to Israel from Latin American countries and facilitating the absorption of such immigrants were discussed this week-end at a conference of Latin American settlers here. The meeting was attended by 250 delegates representing 2,500 settlers in Israel.
Among the resolutions passed was one calling on the Israeli Government and the Jewish Agency to increase their help in the absorption of Latin American settlers. Emphasized at the parley was the great progress made in the handling of Latin American immigrants since the establishment of a special department by the Jewish Agency.
