Zionist organizations in various countries of Latin America have recently been revived and revitalized, Benno Weiser, director of the Latin American department of the American section of the Jewish Agency executive, reported here today.
In Costa Rica and Panama, he stated, the local Zionist organizations have been revived. A convention of Colombian Zionists, held recently in Cali, elected a new executive of the Colombian Zionist Federation and decided that its headquarters would be in Bogota, capital of the country. In Argentina, the Central Zionist Council has taken over the functions formerly handled by the local office of the Jewish Agency which ended its activities in Buenos Aires February 28.
