Launch Drive for Haym Salomon Monument

A campaign for $175,000 to erect a monument for Haym Salomon, revolutionary patriot and financier, was launched Thursday evening at a dinner in the Hotel Biltmore, New York.

Addresses were delivered by Professor Albert Bushnell Hart. Professor of Government at Harvard University; Congressman Sol Bloom; Justice Albert Cohn, Nathan Straus, Jr., Jonah J. Goldstein and S. Stanwood Menken, a great grandson of Haym Salomon.

The greetings of the Republic of Poland were conveyed by the Polish Consul General, Eugene Jordan Rozwadowski. Benjamin Winter, President of the Federation of Polish Jews of America, presided.
