An appeal to citizens of Greater New York to strengthen religious conviction free themselves of all forms of bigotry, and overcome the “tendencies toward race, class, religious and individual hatred which are threatening the future of our nation, as well as the world,” was issued today by 90 prominent laymen of the Protestant, Catholic and Jewish faiths. The appeal, made public by the New York Round Table of the National Conference of Christians and Jews, has released simultaneously in more than 1,000 communities throughout the country under the auspices of the N.C.C.J.
