Ben Lazare, national commander and organizer of the National Blue Men of America, Inc., yesterday announced his resignation from that organization. He stated he is joining the Anti-Nazi League of which Samuel Untermyer is president.
Under the leadership of Lazare, the National Blue Men of America have been one of the most active groups opposing the sale of merchandise made in Nazi Germany. The Blue Men have picketed stores in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx in efforts to discourage the purchase of Nazi goods. They are credited with having “purged” entire districts of Brooklyn of Nazi wares.
Lazare expressed the opinion some time ago he could work more effectively in cooperation with the larger organization.
