Some of America’s leading Jewish scientists, philosophers and theologians will be among the 1,000 scholars who are expected to attend an intellectual rally in defense of democratic culture against the threat of totalitarianism, which is to be hold at Columbia University, New York, during the week of Sept. 8-12, it was announced here today. The occasion is that of the Second Conference on Science, Philosophy and Religion in their Relation to the Democratic Way of Life. Among those participating in the Conference will be Professors Mortimer J. Adlor, Morris R. Cohen, Frans Boas, I. I. Rabi, Irwin Edman, Moses Hadas, Raphael Issacs, Paul Weiss, Abraham Cronbach, S. S. Cohon, Dr. Louis Finkelstein, and others.
