Lebanese authorities today expressed their regrets over the murder of an Israeli youth last week by a gang of Arab infiltrates which fled into Lebanese territory. Today, meanwhile, vehicles on roads in northern Israel came under attack. Police escorting the vehicles returned the small arms fire and the raiders retreated to Lebanon.
One Israeli was killed and three were wounded on the outskirts of Jerusalem last night when infiltrates from Jordan attacked a young man and woman returning home from a dance. The man was killed and the woman was wounded. The shots brought out two neighbors who were then shot down by the raiders before they fled.
