Three Lebanese fishermen and their boat were captured today by an Israel police coastal unit near Nahariya. The boat, which had an auxiliary motor, was brought to Haifa and the fishermen taken to police headquarters for interrogation. The three men said they had been fishing in Lebanese waters and that currents had carried them into Israel waters.
An army spokesman reported today that an armed Lebanese infiltrator was intercepted and killed by an Israel patrol Saturday near Tel Chai in the northernmost part of Israel. The infiltrator was shot dead when he ignored a challenge to stop. He carried a Lebanese identity card, a rifle with 50 rounds and a hand grenade.
