The Organization of Lebanese Christian Youth of Brazil today issued a call to all Arabs in this country to boycott the visit here of Hussein Z. Sabri, deputy foreign minister of the United Arab Republic. Mr. Sabri arrived here Friday for a formal “goodwill” mission. According to the organization of Lebanese youth here, he was one of the UAR’s “chief co-plotters” against Lebanon.

Only three of the leading Brazilian newspapers today mentioned the Sabri visit. On the other hand, the same newspapers, and all others, featured prominently reports of a luncheon tendered Friday by the Brazil-Israel Chamber of Commerce, honoring Mr. Tekoah. One of the principal speakers at the Tekoah luncheon was Apolonio Salles, former vice-president of the Brazilian Senate, who is considered here as the country’s outstanding “elder statesman.”

In enthusiastic terms, Mr. Salles praised Israel’s achievements during the first 12 years of its independence. An address by Mr. Tekoah, detailing modern Israel’s progress in economy, social affairs and science, was quoted widely by all newspapers as well as on radio and television networks.
