A Lebanese police official will be tried by a military court in Beirut on charges of espionage for Israel, it was reported here today from Lebanon. The suspect, Emile Khairallah, was arrested in Syria last month and has been held on charges of being a member of an Israeli spy ring allegedly operating in Lebanon and Syria.
Major Zuhair Adili, a military examining judge in Damascus, was quoted as saying that investigations of espionage had shown that Lebanon apparently was a center for espionage activities and for recruiting new agents for the alleged spy ring.
