Lebanon has lodged its second complaint this week with the United Nations Security Council alleging shellings by Israeli forces of positions inside the Lebanese borders. In a letter to the Security Council President yesterday, Lebanon’s representative, Ambassador Edouard Ghorra, charged that Israeli forces fired 150 mortar shells at two border positions near the villages of Honine and Al-Malikyah on Oct. 28. He called it an “act of aggression…unprovoked and unjustified and…a threat to the security of Lebanon.”
Mr. Ghorra complained to the Security Council Monday that Israeli forces had shelled the Lebanese village of Almajydiah the day before, wounding two soldiers and damaging houses and livestock.
