Lebanese police authorities have arrested a group of 25 Iraqi and Syrian Jews attempting to cross the Lebanese border into Israel, Radio Bagdad, monitored here, said today.
Israelis attending the weekly meeting of the Israel-Lebanese mixed armistice commission at Metullah strongly protested the violation of Israel’s air frontiers by a Lebanese aircraft on July 24. The Lebanese retorted that an Israel fighter pursued the Lebanese plane 40 kilometers inside Lebanese territory. The commission decided to conduct an immediate investigation.
