Legal action was instituted by two Jewish women, one of them an American, who were among those beaten whrle worshipping at the Wailing Wall when the Jerusalem police interfered with the worshippers on Yom Kippur.
The two women lodged complaints against the policemen whom they charge with having beaten them during their effort to tear down the screen separating the men and women worshippers.
