The Government of the French Republic has conferred the Order of the Legion of Honor on Rabbi Mosche Sitruk, Chief Rabbi of Tunis, on the recommendation of the Resident General of Tunis.
Chief Rabbi Ditruk is 70 years of age. In informing the Chief Rabbi of the honor conferred upon him, the representative of the Resident General expressed the appreciation of the French Government for his loyal co-operation with the Government of the Protectorate of Tunisia.
About a year ago Chief Rabbi Sitruk was made a Commander of the Order of Nichan Iftikhar by the Bey of Tunis.
