A resolution expressing “deep concern and abhorrense at the growth of the anti-Semitism in this country and, particularly, the intense activity that is now being conducted by Sir Oawald Mosley and his satellites” was adopted today at the annual meeting of the National Council of the British Union of Civil Liberties.
The resolution appealed to the Home Secretary “to introduce legislation at an early date making illegal the dissemination of racial and anti-Semitic” propaganda. It was presented by D.N.Pritt, Independent Labor M.P., who asserted that legislation against anti-Semitism was practicable and disclosed that he had drafted a bill dealing with anti-Semitic propaganda. The resolution was adopted by a large majority.
