Herbert H. Lehman, former Governor of New York and one-time Director General of UNRRA has rejoined the Joint Distribution Committee as vice-chairman and member of its executive committee, it was announced today.
Mr. Lehman, who was first associated with the J.D.C. shortly after its founding in 1914, retired from active participation in the Committee’s activities in December, 1942, when he assumed direction of UNRRA’s programs. His return to the J.D.C. was greeted by Edward M.M. Warburg, the Committee’s chairman.
