Governor Herbert H. Lehman will be host to 4,000 orphans Saturday morning at the Strand Theatre in Brooklyn. Under the name of Governor’s Orphans’ Day the celebration will entertain children from the Hebrew Orphan Asylum, the Protestant Orphanage, St. Joseph’s Female Home, St. John’s Home for Boys, the Pride of Judea and the Colored Orphanage.
An elaborate program has been arranged by William McLaughlin. David F. Soden is chairman of the arrangements committee.
The Governor will personally greet the children and will also speak over radio station WLTH from the theatre at 11:15 P.M.
