Leo J. Rabinowitz, attorney and leader in Jewish life, has been appointed by Secretary Ickes as attorney for the Public Works Administration. Rabinowitz has been active for years in Jewish affairs. He was president of the San Francisco Zionist District from 1924 to 1929 and was the first campaign director of the Jewish National Welfare Fund.
The other recipient of honors is Isadore Goldstein, who for years was a local business man here. Word has been received of his re-election as Mayor of Juneau, Alaska.
