Leo Wertgame, of Kansas City, Mo., was elected president of the National Federation of Temple Brotherhoods at its 16th biennial convention here. The NFTB comprises 330 Reform Temple Brotherhoods with 56,000 members throughout the United States and Canada.
Mr. Wertgame is former first vice-president of the NFTB and chancellor of its educational project, the Jewish Chautauqua Society. He is president of Congregation B’nai Jehudah, Kansas City. He succeeds retiring president Harold W. of St. Louis, Mo. who was named an honorary board member for life.
