Levy and Fertig Are Named for City Offices on Regular Democratic Slate

Samuel Levy and M. Maldwin Fertig were named by the regular Democratic organization to run for the office of Borough President of Manhattan and President of the Board of Aldermen, respectively.

Mr. Levy is the present incumbent in the office of Borough President and has been named to succeed himself. He is prominent in many Jewish organizations and is an active worker in Jewish philanthropic movements.

M. Maldwin Fertig, selected for president of the Board of Aldermen, is a native of the Bronx. He is 46 years old and is counsel for Governor Herbert H. Lehman and was also counsel for Mr. Roosevelt when he was governor of the State of New York.

Mr. Fertig is president of the Y.M.H.A. in the Bronx, trustee of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies and president of the Metropolitan League of Jewish Community Associations.
