A section of the liberal party headed by George Bratianu, organized in opposition to the present liberal government, came out today with a forthright declaration regarding anti-Semitism.
The siogan the party adopted is “Not for foreigners but for Rumanians,” applying to positions in economic life. The party will organize itself into an independent group and has already decided upon a program, emphasizing the belief that hatred and fear of foreigners runs contrary to Rumanian nature.
The program states that steps must be taken to study the social changes which have taken place, particularly in small towns, since the World War, and that the unprecedented difficulties facing the younger generation requires immediate measures for relief.
With regard to appointments to leading positions in economic life, the party program declares that it will seek to give appointments exclusively to Rumanians.
