A copy of Maimonides Mishneh Torah published in Istanbul in 1509 has been placed on display at the Library of Congress as part of an exhibit of Turkish literature arranged in honor of the visit of Turkish President Celal Bayar to this country.
The Mishneh Torah, completed by Maimonides in the 12th century, is a 14-volume compendium of the Talmud, religious guide and complete codification of Biblical and rabbinic law.
