Libya cut off contacts with Israel because of leaks to the media, Israel Radio reported. According to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s office leaked details of secret talks last summer between Israeli and Libyan officials in order to scuttle the Foreign Ministry initiative that it opposed.
