Orthodox, reform and conservative rabbis gathered here today at the eighth annual convention of the Kallah, Texas rabbinical organization.
The convention, which began this morning in the Beth Jacob Synagogue, will continue through tomorrow.
The annual cultural meeting of the Kallah was held this evening at Temple B’nai Israel, at which Rabbi Samuel Halevi Baron, of Austin, and Rabbi A. B. Rhine, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, were the principal speakers.

Other speakers included Rabbis David Tamarkin, Louis Feigon, Maurice Faber, and Walter G. Peiser.
Rabbi Henry Cohen presided.
Among the speakers on current Jewish problems this morning were: Rabbis Henry Cohen, Louis Feigon and Henry Barnston.
A luncheon was given in the vestry of the Beth Jacob Synagogue, followed by speeches by Rabbis David B. Alpert, Sidney A. Wolf and Harry A. Merfeld.
LUNCHEON SCHEDULED
Tomorrow morning several more papers will be read and a luncheon will be given.
In the afternoon there will be a business meeting at which officers for the year 1934-35 will be elected.
