I Irving Lipsitch was named by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles as member of a commission on county charities to serve for a period of three years.
Lipsitch has long been identified with philanthropic activities of California. For nine years he was superintendent of social service of the Federation of Jewish Charities of San Francisco. Since 1925 he has served as executive director of the Federation of Jewish Welfare Organizations of Los Angeles.
Lipsitch is also a member of the State Emergency Relief Commission of California and chairman of the executive committee of the Council of Social Agencies of Los Angeles.
