Louis Lipsky, chairman of the American Zionist Committee for Public Affairs, resigned his office at a meeting of the Committee held here today.
In withdrawing from the position he has held since 1949, first as chairman of the American Zionist Council and then as chairman of the Committee for Public Affairs, Mr. Lipsky offered several proposals for strengthening the work of the Committee. His proposals were referred for future consideration to a special committee, to which was also assigned the task of bringing in nominations to fill the vacant post.
