The final step in the abolishment of the Jewish national autonomy in Lithuania has been taken by the Government with the abolishment of the post of the Jewish Minister in the Lithuanian Cabinet. The special Ministry for Jewish Affairs was recently liquidated, but the Jewish Minister remained in the Cabinet without portfolio. Now that the post in the Cabinet has been abolished, there is no recognition of the Jews as a separate nationality.
