THE POLICE TODAY PROHIBITED CAMPAIGNING THROUGH PUBLIC MEETINGS AND DISTRIBUTION OF LITERATURE FOR ELECTION OF DELEGATES TO THE WORLD ZIONIST CONGRESS TO BE HELD NEXT MONTH IN ZURICH, SWITZERLAND.
THE ACTION, FOLLOWING FACTIONAL CLASHES BETWEEN RIGHT-WING AND GENERAL ZIONISTS LAST MONTH IN WHICH SEVERAL PERSONS WERE INJURED, WAS TAKEN, IT WAS STATED, FOR FEAR OF ENDANGERING THE PUBLIC PEACE.
ELECTION OF DELEGATES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED, IT WAS LEARNED, AND CONSEQUENTLY ZIONIST PARTIES HAVE STARTED NEGOTIATIONS LOOKING TOWARD AN AGREEMENT FOR DISTRIBUTION OF THE CONGRESS MANDATES.
