Interesting scenes took place in Lithuanian cities and towns during the last few days, when the police attempted to remove from the Jewish stores signs in Yiddish, which were previously permitted by the Government.
The Jewish population strongly resented this action of the Lithuanian police, considering it a further breach of their rights.
