The prospect of living in Germany was so unpleasant to them that twenty Lithuanian women today took dramatic action to avoid it.

The women are the wives of German-Jewish experts in various fields who have been living in this country. When their husbands were ordered by the Lithuanian authorities to return to Germany, the women petitioned the Government for divorces, declaring they preferred separation from their spouses to living in the Third Reich.
