Local Russian officials threatened to close down a newspaper for allegedly inciting ethnic hatred. The newspaper Kurs got into trouble with the local Press Ministry for recently publishing an article titled “Kike-Mason News,” according to the Union of Councils for Jews in the Soviet Union.
