Formal charges against two British subjects were read in Magistrates Court here today. A series of nine counts charges the two–Frederick Sylvester and William Hawkins–with obtaining military information about the Israeli Army during the recent fighting and transmitting it to the Arabs. They were also accused of participating in the Ben Yehuda Street bombing, in which 50 persons were killed. The hearing is expected to continue all week.
