Colonial Undersecretary George H. Hall announced in Commons today a supplementary civil estimate of L200,000 for defense of Palestine and Transjordan. He declared it was not proposed to call on the Palestine Government for any contribution for 1940, although Palestine was responsible for payments for defense.
