The London Daily Telegraph, which has been critical of Israel’s handling of the case of Nazi killer Adolf Eichmann, warned Argentina in an editorial that, if it persists in rejecting Israel’s denial of the Israel Government’s responsibility in the capture of Eichmann and his removal from Argentine soil to Israel territory. Argentina “is in danger of creating an unfortunate impression regarding its own attitude and intentions.
“To overplay objections that might prevent a trial for Eichmann,” declared the editorial, “might look to some people like siding with Eichmann. It would be in Argentina’s interest to avoid any danger of giving such an impression. “
