The Daily Herald, one of the largest newspapers in England and the official spokesman for the British Labor Party, began today polling its readers on their views about Jews and prejudice.
Following the widespread publication of the story of a 50,000 pound bequest to St. Johns College of Cambridge on condition that the funds not be used for fellowships to Jews and Negroes, the Daily Herald published a questionnaire which it asked its readers to fill out and return. The questions include: "Do you like Jews, if not, why not#" "Would you approve of your son or daughter marrying a Jew#" "If you are Jewish have you any prejudice against persons of other races or religions, if so state which#"
