The paper declared that Ambassador Jarring was expected to take the initiative soon to convene a face-to-face meeting between Israel and the Arabs, probably on Cyprus.
“It is, of course, much too early to predict whether the forthcoming meetings at Nicosia – should they materialize – will prove the basis for a modus vivendi between the Arabs and Israelis,” The Times said.
