Brigadier General Sir Wyndham Deedes, former director general of public security in Egypt, in a letter to The Times today expressed the hope that its editorial Friday condemning persecution of Jews in Germany would “lead to a revulsion of feeling strong enough to reach the man who could if he would end these most shameful persecutions.
Commenting on the seizure of Friday’s issue of The Times in Germany, Sir Wyndham declared, “Thank God The Times has spoken.”
