The dedication ceremonies of the new Talmud Torah of Temple Israel of Long Beach, N. Y., will take place on Sunday afternoon. The Talmud Torah, which was built at a cost of $150,000, will have room for about 300 Jewish children.
The dedication program will consist of addresses by Elvin N. Edwards, district attorney of Nassau County; Hon. Frank Frankel, Mayor of Long Beach; Dr. Gabriel Schulman of the Park Avenue Congregation, New York City, and Rabbi Morris M. Goldberg of Temple Israel, Long Beach. The clergymen of the various Christian denominations of Long Beach will also participate in the dedicatory exercises.
